Du coup ça me met un doute ... aucun trace sur le net d'une chansons ayant pour paroles "cats and dogs are not our friend,s they just pretend" donc peut-être bien inédite ! (ou alors tellement vieille qu'on trouve pas de paroles sur le net lol)

juste une review du concert d'Annemasse
March 08, 2006
Camille
I first saw Camille in concert last November at the Château Rouge in Annemasse, just across the border in France. As I made my way there, I was excited not only by the fact that I was travelling to another country for the evening - something that still affords me a ridiculously childish thrill every time I do it - but even more so by the prospect of seeing for the first time the singer whose album Le Fil was for me the outstanding release (in any language) of 2005 (and whose contributions to the Nouvelle Vague album included the heartbreaking cover of Tuxedomoon's In A Manner Of Speaking, which I consider the standout song on the disc), and hearing live one of the most astonishing and versatile voices in European music.
On top of my admiration for Camille's music, however, there was something more. She was one of those artists with whom I would say, for want of a better expression, I felt a connection. Behind her songs I sensed a fierce intelligence burning. Her words spoke directly to me, and I found in them - and, by extrapolation, in her - truth and integrity. This impression was only enhanced when I read the following words on her website :
Je m'impose un devoir de sincérité. Une chanson ne peut naître que d'un moment très fort. C'est mon éthique. (Very loosely : I impose on myself a duty to be sincere. A song may only be born out of truly meaningful moment. That is my personal ethic.)
It came as something of a shock, therefore, as I sat expectantly in my seat waiting for her to come on stage - she was already ten minutes late, but wasn't that after all an artist's prerogative ? - to read what was written on the inside cover of the concert programme. Just above a list of forthcoming attractions, the owner of the venue addressed those come to hear Camille, reminding them of her meteoric rise and of how only a year earlier she had appeared at this very same theatre, still a relative unknown, supporting a far more famous act whose name now escapes me (and which has probably since subsided once more into obscurity, having enjoyed its brief moment in the spotlight). He then went on to say that a local band had been due to support Camille this evening, but that "at her request, or that of her management", they had been removed from the bill. Camille would thus be unsupported, he explained, before finishing with the rueful words "it seems some people have very short memories".
The show, as it turned out, was superb - visually exciting and musically outstanding. Camille's voice was even more extraordinary heard live than it is on disc and she exuded all of the charisma I expected and more - enough to succeed at one stage in convincing every male member of the audience to stand up and sing along with her a chorus consisting of the single line "Je suis une fille". But I must admit that it was well into the second half before I recovered from my disappointment and refound enough of my initial enthusiasm to allow myself truly to enjoy the experience on its merits.
I never found out the real story behind what happened in Annemasse last year - whether Camille herself was behind the decision to drop her supporting act, or whether she was an innocent bystander to a dispute between management companies - but I know what I prefer to think, and in any case enough time has passed since for her to have regained her place in my personal pantheon. Nor am I alone in my admiration for her : on Saturday night she received two Victoires : one recognising her as "la révélation scène de l'année" (best new live act, if you like), and another for Le Fil, voted "l'album révélation de l'année" (best album by a new artist - an award I suspect was received with mixed emotions, since it implies that her excellent first album Le Sac Des Filles, went unnoticed) .
Last night I saw Camille for the second time, opening the Voix de Fête festival in the altogether different surroundings of Geneva's magnificent Victoria Hall, which was full for the first time in the perhaps twenty or thirty concerts I have heard there. For the record, she was supported by a sympathetic young Canadian, Anique Granger, with an impressive technique on the guitar, a good voice, and a nice line in self-deprecation (and a blog) - she introduced herself with the words "I come from Saskatchewan. It's easy enough to find. You just drive west out of Montreal. And keep going for 3000 kilometres" - and prefaced her final song by saying "I promise this will be the last one. Because, like you, I can't wait to hear Camille." And well though she performed, she was right - everyone was there for Camille.
I think I can safely say no-one left disappointed. The show was superb.
The set Camille performed was basically the same as I had seen four months earlier, with a little less patter and a little more madness. Once again, the versatility of her voice was breathtaking - enhanced by ingenious use of loops recorded live and then played back in layers to create not only harmonies but textures and the most sophisticated syncopated percussive effects. The virtuosity of her fellow musicians all but matched her own, and the energy and enthusiasm of all three was extraordinary. And the power she held over her audience was undeniable : not only did she once again manage to get the entire audience to sing along to the chorus of Je suis une fille (though on this occasion, to my great relief, she did not ask the men in the audience to stand up and sing without the women), but as an accompaniment to a song the main gist of which was "Cats and dogs are not our friends, they just pretend", she succeeded in getting half of the audience to miaow while the other half responded with woof, woof, woof.
There were moments - as she danced manically across the stage, then bounded up through the choir stalls to dance beneath the organ, metres above the audience, or as she careered around the auditorium, disappearing through one door, only to appear a few seconds later through another or in one of the boxes, pulling behind her a giant trail of white chiffon, perhaps seven or eight metres long - when you almost feared for her sanity. And then she would return to the stage and the audience would fall silent as she began once again patiently to build up another set of mesmerising aural layers that would serve as the background for a new song.
But if the most immediate impact of Camille's performance lies in her vibrant stage presence and in the constantly ingenious human beatbox effects she creates - for one of her encores she built up a chorus of increasingly absurd sound effects, starting with whoops and squeals, and ending with raspberries and belches, and yet somehow it remained undeniably musical - the memories that will remain with me from both the concerts I have attended, and the ones that mean that I would happily pay to see her again next week, and the week after, and the week after that - are the moments when she lets the sublime beauty of her singing voice come through. At times it has a power and a richness that make you realise that she could just as easily have been a diva as a popstar, and yet at others it is of an indescribable fragility - and if you are sensitive to such things as I am, you cannot help but let yourself be carried away by your emotions. As I did last night when, having already performed three or four encores, she came back on to the stage and sang, without a microphone, and to the accompaniment only of a double bass and a single line on the piano, a version of the song Mon Petit Vieux that had the tears rolling down my face.
